Volunteer Friendly Award

This is a nationally recognised Award presented to organisations who demonstrate good practice in relation to their volunteers. As volunteers are so important to many organisations, including Starter Packs it is vital to ensure that they are well looked after in every aspect of their work. This includes having the correct policies and procedures in place regarding their safety whilst volunteering, providing suitable working conditions in which to carry out their volunteering role and making sure they are formally and informally encouraged and appreciated for the hours they give to the organisation.

New Project

A little bit more about our New Project,We have been given funding to do a pilot project to find out if there is a need for us to extend into the areas surrounding Dundee. We are now open on Mondays to make up packs solely for the areas surrounding Dundee and the packs will be sent out on that day or on a Tuesday morning. A number of referrers are already looking forward to being able to give out packs to people who would not otherwise qualify but are in need of our service. If you know of a person who would like a pack and who lives in the Angus or North Fife areas please let us know and we will put you in touch with a referrer. Thank you.
